Appleby Management (Bermuda) Ltd.
Sherman Taylor, ACCA, ARM, CIA joined Appleby Management (Bermuda) Ltd. as an Account Manager in January, 2008. He is responsible for co-ordinating and providing accounting and regulatory compliance services for a number of insurance captives, and providing accounting services for a number of employee benefit trusts, investment companies, and other entities.
Sherman also co-ordinates the provision of listing sponsor services for companies wishing to be listed on the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX), as well as the provision of ongoing listing sponsor services for companies already listed on the BSX; these services are provided through affiliated company Appleby Securities (Bermuda) Ltd., a licensed BSX listing sponsor.
Sherman regularly acts as Scrutineer/Inspector of Elections at shareholder meetings of several publicly listed Bermuda Registered Companies.
Sherman is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) of the U.K, and holds professional qualifications in Risk Management from the Insurance Institute of America, and in Internal Audit from the Institute of Internal Auditors of the U.S.A.
Sherman brings in excess of 10 years' experience to the team. His working life in Bermuda includes a role as Account Manager at Marsh Captive Management (Bermuda) Ltd, and, prior to that, in Trinidad and Tobago, a role of Financial Controller of the Trinpet Group of Companies, (now Trinpet ITS Ltd), and Senior Accounting roles at multinational corporations such as Baker Hughes and BP.
